The Vienna City Card<\/em><\/strong><\/span><\/a> is the tourist pass I decided to use during the stay in the Austrian capital. My choice was based on the length of the trip<\/strong> and the itinerary<\/strong> I followed.<\/p>\n

My experience with the Vienna City Card<\/span><\/h2>\n

There are many things to do and see<\/strong>, choosing between all the viennese<\/em> museums to visit while strolling around the historic city centre<\/strong> declared a UNESCO<\/strong> World Heritage Site. Besides that, Vienna is synonymous with classical music<\/strong> thanks to composers such as Vivaldi, Paganini, Mozart, Salieri and Beethoven who lived and worked here.<\/p>\n

In my case, considering it was not the first time here I decided to visit some places outside classic tourist routes<\/strong> as well as to look for different panoramic spots scattered around the city<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

What is included?<\/span><\/h3>\n

First of all, the Vienna City Card<\/strong> allows unlimited travel on public transport<\/strong> (metro, bus, urban trains and trams) for 24<\/strong>, 48<\/strong>, 72 hours <\/strong>or 7 days<\/strong>. Connections to\/from the airport are not included but you are still entitled to benefits.<\/p>\n

Then, you can take advantage of a series of discounts for museums<\/strong>, attractions<\/strong> and much more for the entire duration of your stay.<\/p>\n

For free entry, you need another card, which I will tell you about at the end of the article.<\/em><\/p>\n

How much does it cost?<\/span><\/h3>\n

Prices<\/strong> per adult are the following: \u20ac17 (24 hours), \u20ac25 (48 hours) and \u20ac29 (72 hours). Children under the age of 15 travel for free<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Is the Vienna City Card worthwhile?<\/span><\/h3>\n

The biggest advantage is undoubtedly the possibility of unlimited travels with Viennese public transport<\/strong>, really useful for quickly moving from one point to another in the city and also for reaching Sch\u00f6nbrunn Palace by metro<\/strong> (line U4).<\/p>\n

The Vienna City Card<\/strong><\/em><\/span><\/a> was perfect for me because, since it was not my first time in the Austrian capital city, I did not need to visit many attractions<\/strong>.<\/p>\n
